Paula Reis

Paula started as a postdoctoral fellow with PoreLab and Njord in April 2022.

Paula writes the following about herself and the plans for her PostDoc:

"I am an engineer interested in modeling multiphase flow in porous media. In May 2021 I obtained my PhD at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, with a thesis on the development of a compositional pore-network model for gas-condensate flow. With it, one can assess the evolution of transport properties in the pore space during phase transition motivated by isothermal pressure reduction. Now in PoreLab, I’ll be a part of the FlowConn project, which investigates connectivity enhancement due to thin liquid films in porous media flows. Within the project, my tasks will involve the development and application of computational methods for the simulation of immiscible two-phase flows in porous media, in particular for the description of film flows."
