I did my bachelor and masters in geophysics at the University of Bergen. After a semester at the University of Iceland I became particularly interested in vulcanology, which further inspired the topic of my master thesis. For my master’s degree I worked with ground displacement data and how this relates to magma chamber dynamics. Since completing my master’s degree, I have been working in the marine seismic industry with streamer and OBN technology.
As a PhD student at Njord I will be working on the Beyond Elasticity project. Here I will continue working with vulcanology. My work mainly consists of numerical modelling to further understand how magma is emplaced, with a a particular focus on non-elastic processes.
