Academic interests
Motivated by my desire to develop and optimize sustainability-relevant technologies, I specialized in catalyst research. Unraveling catalytic mechanisms by understanding the interaction of organic molecules with inorganic reactive sites is of particular interest to me. I strive to use this knowledge to develop structure-activity relationships and engineer the catalysts of tomorrow. In my current work, I investigate how zeotype-based catalysts operate in the production of hydrocarbons from recycled CO2 feedstock.
Background
I conducted my bachelor’s and master’s studies in Technical Chemistry at the Vienna University of Technology. For both of my theses, I joined the research group of Karl Kirchner, investigating base-metal complexes for catalytic applications.
