Background
I graduated in Chemistry in 2014, obtained a MSc Degree in Advanced Chemistry Studies in 2015 and received my PhD in Chemistry in September 2020 from the University of Seville (Spain).
My PhD studies, under the supervision of Prof. M. Carmen Nicasio, focused on the synthesis and characterization of palladium complexes bearing phosphine ligands and their catalytic applications in the Buchwald-Hartwig amination reaction. Before starting my PhD studies, I worked in the group of Dr. Salvador Conejero at IIQ (Seville, Spain) investigating the catalytic formation of diaminoboranes. Once I graduated, I did a three-month stay in the group of Prof. Kilian Muñiz at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ, Spain), where I was involved in the deoxygenation of alkenes. During my PhD studies, I worked in the group of Prof. Manfred Bochmann at the University of East Anglia (United Kingdom), where I participated in different Au(III) projects. I did a six-month postdoctoral stay in the group of Dr. Ainara Nova (University of Oslo) performing mechanistic investigations by DFT calculations.
My research interest comprises the synthesis of designed organometallic and metal-organic framework catalysts for CO2 hydrogenations.
