To get from the airport to the hotel
We do not recommend taking a taxi from the airport, this is expensive and - if you're really unlucky - might take up to two hours. The airport train is effective and takes just under 30 minutes. To get to the airport train, turn right when you get out of the customs area. Tickets can be bought at the airport, the machine is cheaper than getting human assistance from the clerks and it takes credit cards. To get to the above hotel, stay on the train one stop further than the central station, to 'Nationaltheatret'. The hotel is about 15 minutes from 'National' by foot.
Please note that there are three possible exits from the subway station, in any case just go around (or if you're feeling adventurous, through) the royal palace park, to the hotel. Alternatively, there are taxis available outside the subway station.
To get from the hotel to UiO
Walk down to 'National' subway station and take either line 3, 5 or 6 two stops to 'Blindern'. Please make sure you're headed 'Vest' and not the other way ('Øst').
Informal dinner on monday is at Peppes, Stortingsgaten 4, at 20:00. A table has been booked.
