Research Interests

Our main scientific interest is the comprehension of molecular mechanisms underlying the intracellular trafficking and the interplay between membrane transport and cytoskeleton dynamics. We are especially interested in the Rab family of small GTPases, which are master regulators of intracellular transport but can also regulate other cellular processes, including cytoskeleton remodeling. In order to unravel the fundamental mechanisms that control the spatio-temporal regulation of intracellular transport and cytoskeleton dynamics, we use molecular and cell biology methods combined with state-of-the-art imaging techniques.
