Short Bio
Sabita Maharjan is a Full Professor at the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo, Norway, and a Senior Research Scientist (adjunct position) at Simula Metropolitan Centre for Digital Engineering, Oslo, Norway. Prof. Maharjan received her Ph.D. degree in Networks and Distributed Systems from University of Oslo, and Simula Research Laboratory, Norway, in 2013. From 2020 onwards she is the Associate Editor of the prestigious journals IEEE Internet of Things (IEEE IoTJ) and IEEE Open Journal of the Computer Society (IEEE OJCS). She serves/has served as the Guest Editor for journals such as IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communicaiton (IEEE JSAC), IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking (IEEE TGCN), IEEE Access, etc. and in the Technical Program Committee of conferences including top conferences like IEEE INFOCOM and IEEE IWQoS, summer schools, winter schools and research seminars with more than 100 participants. She is the recipient of three Best Paper AWARDS: IEEE SCALCOM 2015, IEEE CS CLOUD 2016, and IEEE ICCT 2019. From June 2020, She is the Vice-Chair of the IEEE TCGCC SIG on Green AI. Her current research interests include vehicular networks and 5G, network security, Internet of Energy, Mobile Edge Computing, and computation intelligence.
