Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB); high performance data reduction and simulations in cosmology experiments.

Background

I have worked at the interface of high performance computing and cosmology for over twenty years. I started with mapmaking methods for the Planck satellite and expanded my portfolio to noise characterization, pointing reconstruction, beam calibration and other aspects of the data reduction pipeline. Then came simulations of realistic and hypothetical datasets for Simons Observatory and CMB-S4.

I was the lead engineer on the Planck NPIPE data reduction and simulation pipeline and I am developer on TOAST, the Time-Ordered Astrophysics Scalable Toolset used for simulations and data reduction for multiple CMB experiments.
