Many PhD students and postdocs consider a non-academic job, either right after their PhD defence or after several postdocs. The reasons are multiple. While changing from an academic setting to the private sector may seem like an overwhelming task, it is perfectly feasible. But one needs to be aware of the required skillset and even mindset change.
In this talk I will give an overview of the necessary ingredients that can help to a smooth transition.
