In this talk, I will present my two most recent projects.

In the first part, I will discuss how tabletop laboratory tests of gravity can play an important role in understanding the nature of dark energy. I will introduce a set of numerical and AI-based techniques that are particularly useful for modelling and optimizing such experiments, and I will explore their implications for astrophysical-scale observations.

In the second part, I will present recent results from the COMPACT Collaboration on the development of new AI-based methods to constrain the topology of the Universe. I will show how the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) data can be used to probe the underlying cosmic topology and discuss the broader implications of these findings.

Circles in the Sky signature predicted in a universe with non-trivial cosmic topology (e.g., a 3-torus). Our goal is to use AI techniques to detect this and similar signature of non-trivial topology in the CMB.
