Academic interests

I am a new PhD student at CEES from August 16th 2021, and will be part of the EvoCave project. For my PhD I will be investigating the evolution of genetic diversity of arctic and boreal mammals over the last 122K years by using ancient DNA retrieved from the Kjøpsvik karst cave in Northern Norway. I finished my Masters' at Université Laval in Québec, Canada, Spring 2021 where I studied the transmission of the microbiome in the kelp surfperch (Brachyistius frenatus), a viviparous fish of the North Pacific.
