Friday seminar: The Law of constant Extinction revisited

by Indrė Žliobaitė, University of Helsinki, Finland

Abstract

The Law of Constant Extinction states, with some qualifications, that the probability of extinction is effectively independent of species age. The talk will discuss the Law and its implications in the context of patterns observed in the mammalian fossil record.
