CEES Friday seminar: Arctic climate change seen through the eyes of the Svalbard reindeer

By Leif Egil Loe, NMBU, Ås

Abstract

Arctic wildlife is threatened by climate change. Paradoxically, our study population of Svalbard reindeer has nearly tripled over the last 25 years. The aim of the talk is to explain this ecological puzzle while also providing an update on an ongoing NFR-project extending into the world of DNA-metabarcoding and physiological biologgers.

Please note that Leif is visiting us here at IBV/CEES and this seminar will take place in person in Kristine Bonnevies Seminar Room 3508. We will experiment with no hybrid solutions this year for the seminar series, so do please add the event to your agenda.
