Abstract
Biologists are used to carefully following protocols and best practices at the lab, noting down all experimental details for future reference. In contrast, bioinformatics anaylses are often associated with ad hoc scripting, reinvention of analysis procedures and a failure of noting down the details that would allow a result to be reproduced. Recently introduced platforms, such as the Galaxy system, allows researchers to share tools and best practices, and to perform bioinformatics analyses in a way that allows results to be easily reproduced by anyone.
We will in this talk present the Galaxy system and show how it can be used to perform real-life analyses in a reproducible way through a simple web-based system.
