Your new project
Projects at LagLivLab are organised by the students who run them. You bring the idea and the curiosity; the lab provides the equipment, the training and a supervision team to help you get unstuck.

Past projects

Microfluidics
Designing and building lab-on-chip devices, and keeping cells alive and observable inside them. Covers chip design, photolithography, PDMS casting and control of the gas and flow environment around the cells.
/electrorotation_forside.jpeg)
Electrorotation
Measuring the electrical properties of single cells by spinning them in a rotating electric field. The group built its own instrumentation and works on reading rotational spectra from cell lines.
/bioactuator-forsidet.png)
Bioactuator
Building a biohybrid that moves under its own power, using muscle cells grown on an engineered skeleton.

CellMazeRace
Racing cells through microscopic mazes, in the spirit of the Dicty World Races — good training, and good pictures.
Documentation and how to keep good lab notes
Recording what you did is part of doing it. Good lab notes let the next person repeat your experiment, and let you work out what went wrong when it does. See our guide on how to write good lab notes.
