This year’s ENTIS conference, organized by Associate Professor Chrysanthi Sardeli from the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, attracted an international audience keen to explore the latest advancements in clinical pharmacology, toxicology, and pharmacoepidemiology.
Hedvig Nordeng, head of the PharmaSafe group, delivered a keynote address on the topic of "ADHD/ADD medications in pregnancy & breastfeeding." Her insights shed light on the complexities surrounding medication management during pregnancy and lactation, a subject of utmost importance for both maternal and fetal health.
In addition, Senior Researcher Marleen van Gelder took on the role of moderator for a roundtable discussion that explored the theme of Paternal Exposures & Reproductive Outcomes. Marleen also presented her poster titled "Asthma medication use before and during pregnancy: guidelines versus multinational practice," contributing valuable findings that bridge the gap between clinical practice standards and actual medication use patterns.
Marleen’s commitment to advancing research in this arena is further underscored by her role as treasurer on the ENTIS board.
The conference was not only an occasion for scientific discourse but also a wonderful opportunity for networking and fostering potential collaborations among colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the ENTIS team in Thessaloniki for their hard work and dedication in organizing such a successful event!
