I am an NHMRC Investigator Fellow at Curtin University, Australia, and a multidisciplinary researcher with expertise in applied epidemiology, statistical genetics, and genomic epidemiology. My research program spans large-scale epidemiological studies and genomic investigations aimed at understanding the genetic architecture and biological mechanisms of complex disorders.
During my International Alliance for PharmacoGenetic Epidemiology Excellence (iAPOGEE) Visiting Fellowship, I will collaborate with the PharmaSafe Research Group at the University of Oslo and the Clinical Neuroscience Group at Oslo University Hospital to advance research at the intersection of perinatal epidemiology and pharmaco(epi)genetics. My project will investigate the impact of medication use during pregnancy by integrating pharmacoepidemiologic, genomic, and epigenetic evidence. This work aligns with my background in maternal-child health and statistical genomics and aims to generate stronger, mechanistically informed evidence to guide more individualised medication use in pregnancy and early life. The project outcomes could inform clinical risk stratification, safer prescribing practices, and early intervention strategies for at-risk children.
