Hi everyone!
My name is Liana Barenbrug and I will be joining PharmaSafe for the next two months as a visiting researcher. I have a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences and Epidemiology, and I am currently in the final year of my PhD at the Radboudumc, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. My research focuses on understanding sex-specific differences in the treatment of psoriasis across the life course (including pregnancy and menopause).
During my stay in Oslo, I will be working on a project investigating the risk of preterm birth following antibiotic exposure during pregnancy. This project gives me the opportunity to gain experience in researching medication safety during pregnancy and related methodological approaches, as well as in working with the large national registries.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors. As the Netherlands is quite flat, I also love travelling to the mountains whenever I get the chance. My favorite activities are road cycling and hiking. I think Oslo will be a great place to enjoy nature as well!
I am very much looking forward to meeting you all!
