I am Robin Sinsamala, an epidemiologist specializing in life course and environmental epidemiology. I recently completed a PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Bergen, where my research examined pregnancy, child health, and the long-term impacts of environmental exposures using large European longitudinal and multigenerational cohort studies. My work has focused on applying causal inference and advanced statistical methods to address complex population health questions.
At PharmaSafe, I will study real-world patterns of vaccine uptake, effectiveness, and safety using linked Norwegian health and vaccination registries. My research will generate evidence for populations often underrepresented in clinical trials, including pregnant women, preterm children, older adults, and immunocompromised individuals. Using target trial emulation, causal inference, and advanced statistical methods, I will evaluate vaccine effectiveness against infection, severe disease, and pregnancy-related outcomes. In collaboration with experts in biostatistics, machine learning, and pharmacoepidemiology, I aim to produce robust real-world evidence to inform the safe and effective use of vaccines in clinical practice.
