PharmaTox leader Hedvig Nordeng gave a lecture at the ENTIS-ISoP-NFIF Training Course. The course was held in conjunction with the 27th European Network of Teratology Information Services (ENTIS) conference in Berlin 1-3 June.
The program of the course addressed basic and specific aspects of teratology, some epidemiologic methods to monitor drugs use during pregnancy, and risk communication in this specific setting. The speakers were experts working in the fields of pharmacoepidemiology, epigenetics and teratology, either in teratology information centers, medicines agencies, pharmaceutical industry, or in academia. Some speakers focused on specific diseases in pregnancy, e.g. thyroid disease, hypertension and epilepsy, and the treatment of these.
