Traditionally, mice and rats have been used for research on drugs and the effects of environmental toxins. Ragnhild Paulsen and her research team use chicken in developmental stages to study how various environmental toxins and drugs during fetal development affect the brain and lung development.

The Chicken Embryo model was nominated for the Norecopas 3R prize 2019.

Congratulations to Ragnhild and her research team!
