PharmaTox now has a truly interdisciplinary Master’s thesis – Maria Øygarden defended her thesis on April 20th. Her supervisors were Ragnhild Paulsen, Lars Austdal and Sigrid Bjørnstad. The study was done in collaboration with Robert Lyle's and Geir Kjetil's research groups. Maria's key finding was upregulation of specific microRNA after exposure of the developing chicken cerebellum to the antidepressant venlafaxine. Congratulations on the good result!
