Academic Interests

My major area of interest is cellular effects of radiation and hypoxia.

This includes:

  • The cellular protective effect of irradiation at low dose rates against subsequent radiation and chemo therapy
  • The role of prolonged hypoxia in radiation resistance.
  • DNA-independent radiation induced mechanisms
  • The role of TGFbeta3 in radiation response
  • Proton therapy- new ways to deliver protons and new ways to exploit the physical properties
  • Radiation induced immunogenic cell death
