We have successfully completed the 10th 4DSpace Numerical Workshop! Between 16-20 September students from UiO and Kobe University met to Oslo and worked on joint projects to better understand measurements in space.

Three weeks ago we installed an All-Sky-Camera in Hornsund. The first photo of the northern lights was taken last night!

We have successfully completed the 9th 4DSpace Numerical Workshop in Kobe, Japan. Between 16-23 June several students from UiO traveled to Japan to work together with their Japanese colleagues on advanced numerical simulations.

The spring semester is approaching fast, and next semester, you can go to Svalbard and take two courses at UNIS that are relevant for 4DSpace: AGF301 The Upper Polar Atmosphere (15ECTS) and AGF304 Radar Diagnostics of Space Plasma (15ECTS). 4DSpace has a long-term successful collaboration with Canadian universities. In early October, seven students from UiO visited the University of Calgary.

In the end of September seven master students from Kobe University arrived in Oslo to study the interaction between the rocket and ionospheric plasma together with students from UiO.

At the Space Expo at Youngstorget, Oslo (28.08-06.09) we gave three popular-science talks presenting our research. There were a lot of visitors and a successful event!

We are happy to share that within the last two weeks we had two invited talks at prestigious meetings XXXII ICPIG and AOGS2015, and won the poster prize!
