Josue K. Watat is a Digital Transformation Consultant & researcher. He worked for the German Cooperation where he led several missions and reforms in the field of digital governance in rural municipalities. He led the technical processes of the "Citizen Space" project which is a municipal application that decentralizes access to local public services to communities far from the municipality. His research has been published in business journals press such as The Wall Street Journal, in collaboration with Huawei. He is the author and co-author of several scientific publications in the top conferences such as the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), the premier IS Conference in the world, the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), and the European, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern Conference on Information Systems (EMCIS). His work mainly focuses on digital transformation in the global south and its implications. Mr. Josue strongly believes in the power of science to reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa, reduce poverty, and increase prosperity.
