I'm a PhD student at the Language Technology Group (LTG). In my research, I'm working on how out-of-distriubtion generalization relate to compositionality. Specifically, I try to quantify the extent to which sequence models, like language models, can generalize to previously seen information that is composed in a novel way. I primarily approach this problem using knowledge graphs and simple synthethic languages generated from a CFG.
