Academic interests

My research interests are synthesis and advanced characterization of new electrode materials. My current work is revolving around operando study of anti-perovskite (AP) cathode materials.

AP cathode family Li2TMChO, has shown promising potential for Li-ion batteries due to high-capacity (>300mAh/g reported, >400mAh/g theoretically), and the simple cubic structure with cation-disordering behavior allows minimum volume change during de/lithiation. In addition, the chemical flexibility (TM=Mn, Fe, Co, Ch=S, Se, to date) of APs enables a vast combination of transition metal and chalcogenide endmembers/admixtures with different properties. However, the structure evolution of APs upon cycling is still unclear. In my research, I use operando X-ray and hope to gain deeper understanding of AP electrochemistry.
