How to find the Department of Chemistry

Address for visitors: Sem Sælandsvei 26, 0371 Oslo. (Kjemibygningen / "Chemistry Building").

By metro (T-bane)

From centre city Oslo you can take the metro, line 3 towards Storo, line 4 Ringen or line 6 towards Sognsvann, getting off at Blindern station. Exiting the Blindern station, you go in the direction of the campus and take the first road to the right (onto Apalveien).
The main entrance to the Department is on Apalveien.

By air

Arriving by air at Gardermoen, you take the Airport Express Train to Oslo S or the Nasjonaltheateret station. From both of these stations you can easily access the underground.

By car

Guests can obtain a time-limited parking permit by enquiry to the reception office, tel. 228 55446.

From June 1st you must use a parking app at UiO. Parking stickers and physical parking permits are no longer valid from this date.

If you want to park at UiO's parking spaces, you have to register

at the Apcoa Flow parking app that you download from App Store/Google Play, on Apcoa's website;


UiO has entered into an agreement with Apcoa Parking Norway regarding electronic parking permits. All employees and students at the University of Oslo can still park free of charge at UiO, but must be registered with UiO's benefit parking.
