The PLATO Week#18 is organised by the Centre for Planetary Habitability (PHAB), UiO. On the 30th of July, we invite everyone interested in space science and exoplanet sciences to a Public Evening Event at Domus Bibliotheca with talks by Prof. Heike Rauer (PI of the PLATO Mission), Dr. Maximilian Günther (ESA Project Scientist of the PLATO Mission), and Prof. Stephanie C. Werner (CEO of the PHAB centre, UiO).
The PLATO Week #18 event will take place in Oslo (Norway) from the 29th to 31st of July 2026. The host of the Week #18 is the Centre for Planetary Habitability, Dept. of Geosciences at University of Oslo and it is organised with ESA's The PLATO Mission.

Doctoral candidate Elena Mamonova at the Department of Geosciences, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is defending the thesis A thorny path to a habitable world. Studying primordial exoplanet atmospheres with the Young M Dwarf Flare model for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.
In April, we will host a two-day workshop at the Department of Geosciences and the PHAB Centre on early Earth’s atmospheres, oceans, and planetary habitability. The EON-workshop is for researchers (post-docs, PhDs, Masters and others at Geo), including Professors and different overlapping groups at Department of Geosciences.
