Ekaterina's research interest mainly lies in human-associated microbiota and its impact on human health. Currently, she is a researcher at the CRCbiome project working on the development of biomarkers for early-stage colorectal cancer screening.
Ekaterina has a broad background in bioinformatics and molecular biology. She has expertise both in wet lab and dry lab analysis of DNA from various metagenomic samples, and experience with developing bioinformatic pipelines for WGS data analysis. Ekaterina has also previously worked with development of a tool for rapid detection of antimicrobial resistance in clinical samples using machine learning.
