Tasks performed
- ALD of complex oxide quantum material thin films
- Teaching bachelor and master courses
Background
After a career as an aerial acrobat and circus instructor I decided to follow an old dream to become a scientist after deciding I wanted to get to know the kids I had just gotten. I love to understand the world around me, and natural sciences is the language needed to do that. My master thesis was about atomic layer deposition of large area complex oxides to bridge some of the gaps between research and the electronic component industry. The step from aerial acrobatics to areal ALD feels very natural. As a Ph.D. I will keep working on ALD of complex oxide and quantum materials. I really enjoy getting a glimpse into the details of the chemistry happening when using in-situ characterization, so this will be an important tool in my research.
