Academic interests
I am interested in the heterogenous catalytic conversion of C1 molecules, especially CO2 and CH4. Previously active in the field of CO2 hydrogenation, I am now working on the (electrocatalytic) partial oxidation of methane to methanol in the "Advanced Biogas-to-Methanol Electrocatalysis" (ABiME)-project.
With respect to materials, my expertise lies in the field of porous catalysts and supports, and I have worked with macro-, meso- and microporous materials. Since I joined UiO, my focus has been on metal-organic frameworks and their use in heterogenous catalytic conversions.
My chemical background is in the area of inorganic solid state chemistry. This is why my core competences are the synthesis and characterization of especially porous materials and their interaction with gas molecules in terms of adsorption and catalytic reactions.
You can find my published work outside UiO on my Google Scholar and ORCiD profiles.
