Academic interests

I work with growth and characterization of nitrides, where the desired application area is within devices for quantum technology. Primarily, I focus on the growth of aluminum nitride (AlN) using a method called HiPIMS (High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering). After growth, the aim is to determine whether AlN has defects with properties suitable for use within quantum technology, and then mainly quantum sensors.
