Most of my academic interests fall within the field of materials science, ranging from inorganic chemistry to semiconductor physics. My main expertise includes chemical etching, surface chemistry, ion implantation and electrical characterisation of semiconductor substrates. My recent studies have focused on radiation manipulation of point defects in wide-band gap semiconductors - mainly silicon carbide - for power electronics applications. All my work is based on a hybrid approach, with a solid experimental basis supported by computational tools.
