Photorealistic visualization of the heart - the Future of 3D ultrasound imaging (completed)

Ultrasound is currently the most widely used imaging modality for cardiac investigations. Ultrasound is cost effective, the image is real-time and has no harmful radiation. The disadvantage of ultrasound imaging is that image quality varies significantly among the patients. The image quality is also affected by the skills of the system operator.
