Welcome to Greta De Marco's, a Spacecraft Operation Engineer at the European Space Agency, presentation introducing ESA and European Spacecraft Operations Centre (ESOC) role in European spacecraft operations, covering ESA’s organization, mission sites, budget, and operational scope.

US approval for Reflect Orbital’s plan to put reflecting satellites into orbit in order to reflect light from the sun into Earth has reignited a heated debate among astronomers, space scientists and ecologists. The company says it has received more than 260,000 inquiries from customers wanting redirected sunlight for energy, disaster relief, agriculture, defence and city lighting. Researchers warn that if the project grows from a few demonstrators to a constellation of tens of thousands, the consequences for ground- and space-based astronomy, orbital safety and nocturnal ecosystems could be severe.

Ph.d-kandidat Titus M. Casademont ved Institutt for teknologisystemer, Det matematisk-naturvitenskapelige fakultet, vil forsvare sin avhandling for graden Philosophiae Doctor:

Welcome to our open seminar series ITS Talks at the Department of Technology Systems.

ITS Talks is a series of short talks from both early career and established researchers.

Welcome to our open seminar about planetary exploration with visits from NASA and CENSSS.  There will be an opportunity for mingling and pizza. If you can't attend in person, please join the seminar on Zoom.
