The cosmological Standard Model, LambdaCDM, gives an excellent fit to observations on large scales, but has several problems. For instance, what is the nature of the two main components: Dark Matter and Dark Energy?
Going beyond Einstein, by slightly modifying the law of gravity, is an attempt at solving some of the problems with LambdaCDM.
I will explain how to simulate a universe which doesn't obey Einstein. This involves simulating a scalar field and moving millions of particles according to the modified laws of gravity.
