Academic Interests

Investigating the regulatory mechanisms and the molecular basis for microbial biofilm formation, employing models such as Acinetobacter baumannii and Bacillus cereus.

Mapping resistance mechanisms toward novel antimicrobials, including adjuvant substances used as inhibitors of resistance.

Microbial genome studies, primarily of pathogenic (disease-causing) bacteria belonging to the Bacillus cereus group, including repeated and mobile elements and global transcriptional profiling.
