Infrastructure

Solid-state Physics and Quantum Technology has several advanced lab facilities at its disposal.

MiNaLab and NorFab

The Micro- and Nanotechnology Laboratory (MiNaLab), UiO, is part of the national infrastructure for micro and nanofabrication, NorFab, comprising 440 square meters of clean room facilities.

Other instruments

In Oslo Science park, we also have other instruments available like scanning electron microscope (Hitachi TM300 + Bruker Quantax 70 EDS system), optical microscopes (ex. Reichert-Jung MeF3), powder x-ray diffractometer (Rigaku Miniflex600), focused ion beam instrument (JEOL JIB-4500), ball mills (Fritsch pulverisette, Retsch CryoMill), ovens, glovebox (mBraun UNIlab plus), saws (ex.Allied Techcut 4) and grinding/polishing equipment (ex. Allied Metprep 3).

The instruments are registered in BookitLab and all reservations are done through BookitLab. New users must submit the registration form (nettskjema.no).
