LATICE model intercomparison project (LATICE-MIP)

LATICE-MIP consists of two sub-projects, respectively focusing on evapotranspiration and snow modelling

LATICE-MIP is a coordinated effort to utilize the field measurements at different sites in land surface modeling activities in Norway. This MIP idea was born during a group discussion on “LSM challenges” at the 2019 LATICE Annual Meeting. Our main aim is to integrate our measurements and expertise into ongoing international efforts for cold-region land-atmosphere interaction studies.

Due to different focus areas and research interests, over time the LATICE-MIP effort has split into two complementary projects:
