The Else-Ragnhild Neumann Award 2024 was presented by Trond Helge Torsvik, PHAB to the award winner Joanna Dziadkowiec, at a seminar the 15 of May in the Science Libary at University of Oslo.
The prize 'Else-Ragnhild Neumann Award for Women in Geosciences' is awarded awarded to women who have made significant contributions to the field of geosciences. This year it goes to Joanna Dziadkowiec from NJORD, University of Oslo.
The new VISTA Centre – VICCO, was opened at the Department of Geosciences, early in December 2024. The centre will explore the potential for large-scale permanent CO2 storage in rocks.
Welcome to the opening event for the research center: VICCO – VISTA Centre for CO2 Storage in Volcanic-Sedimentary Systems, on Friday, December 6th. The five-year VICCO center is hosted by the Department of Geosciences, UiO.
An interdisciplinary research team from the MN-faculty, UiO has been granted support to establish a research centre to explore the potential for safe and permanent large-scale CO2 storage in rocks. The centre is led by Henrik H. Svensen from Dept. of Geosciences.
