I am a second-year PhD Student at the DECOD Unit Research (Ecosystem dynamics and sustainability: from source to sea) at the Agro Institute of Rennes in France. My research focuses on improving our understanding of how migratory fish populations (particularly Atlantic salmon) respond to climate change.

I am currently visiting IBV, and more specifically the AQUA section, for a three-month research stay. During this visit, I am working with Yngvild Vindenes and other researchers to develop a new modelling framework aimed at better understanding how variation in somatic growth propagates through the life cycle and affects the population dynamics of Atlantic salmon under climate change. The expected outcomes include a stronger mechanistic understanding of the links between environmental variability and population responses, with the goal of improving conservation and management strategies for this species and related ones.

Before starting my PhD in November 2024, I obtained a two-year Advanced Technician Diploma in Environmental Management at the University of Caen. I then completed the third year of my Bachelor’s degree in Biology, followed by a Master’s degree in Marine Biology, at the University of Brest.

My main areas of interest are population dynamics and modelisation but also population genetics and eco-evolutionnary dynamics. Even though my stay at IBV is short, please feel free to reach out! I would be very happy to exchange ideas and discuss with anyone interested.
