I am an environmental biologist specializing in aquatic ecosystems and environmental DNA (eDNA), with a primary research focus on unravelling ecosystem structures through complex food web analysis. My expertise spans the entire methodological pipeline, including field sampling, laboratory processing, bioinformatics, and an extra focus on collaborative efforts with citizen science. In this position, I will focus on developing and deploying novel eDNA methods designed to empower Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs) to monitor and protect coastal ecosystems, directly supporting the objectives of the Biodiversa+ project, SKETCH.
