My PhD project encompasses investigating the developmental timeline and mechanisms surrounding the newly discovered immune surveillance system in gills of bony fish (NELO, ALT, ILT), using primarily zebrafish and Atlantic salmon as the species of interest.

Outside of the fish immunology field, I am also greatly interested in the comparative development of other organisms, as well as how the formation of our body plan has changed throughout evolution.
