Academic interests
In my PhD project I will dive into the population genomics of Trichaptum abietinum. We think this widespread little bracket fungus represents an excellent system for studying speciation mechanisms in fungi. I will approach this at multiple scales; from a global phylogeography to a survey of the reproductive barriers between populations and local adaptations within them. My other interests in mycology include mating genetics, ectomycorrhiza, genome organization, hypogeous fungi, and ethnomycology.
