Background and academic interests
I am an evolutionary biologist and entomologist studying the evolution and diversification of beetles as my primary model system. At CEES, I study the parallel evolution of venom in beetle larvae. My past work focused on the repeated origins of neoteny and bioluminescence in beetles.
My work combines computational approaches with extensive fieldwork in remote places.
I received my PhD from Palacký University Olomouc in 2024.
