Marie Skłodowska-Curie project in Oslo?

Would you like to develop a MSCA IF application with us, to come to Oslo as a post doc fellow for two years and study fungi?

Our main focus is on the molecular ecology of fungi. Some topics we would like to have a MSCA fellow working on includes:

  • Fungal speciation: How do new species of fungi arise? Will be assessed using genome sequencing, mating and physiology/ecology experiments
  • Conservation genomics: Investigate the effect of habitat destruction (e.g. forest fragmentation) on population genomic structure of fungi
  • Landscape genomics: Analyze fungi's adaptations in natural populations through the synthesis of ecological and genomic information
  • Community ecology: Analyze the structure, drivers and functional aspects of fungal communities in e.g. boreal forest soils (or other habitats)
  • Climate change effects on fungi: Observational field studies or experimental work. In this regard we also do fruit body based studies.

You can find more information about MSCA fellowships. Deadline is usually mid September.

If you are serious about it, we may sponsor a short trip to Oslo so we can discuss and start develop an application together.

Please get in contact if this sounds interesting.
