Academic interests

My scientific interests revolve around interdisciplinarity, particularly at the crossroads of physics and computer science, as well as biology and AI. I believe that drawing inspiration from different fields is the key to a full understanding of the world we live in.

My current research focuses on applying brain-inspired mechanisms to the continual deep learning scenario, in which an AI agent needs to adapt to a stream of tasks or environments, without forgetting its previous knowledge. This dynamic field holds potential applications in various domains, including robotics and privacy-sensitive data science.
