Academic interests
I dedicate my research to the evolution of head shape in vertebrates. I investigate the developmental, ecological and behavioural aspects of feeding adaptions through morphometrics, genomics and field-based observations. For my current postdoctoral project, I focus on the Common crossbill, a bird renowned for its highly specialised beak to feed on Norway spruce cones but which recently invaded Iceland by colonising exotic conifer plantations.
