Background
I am a PhD student at the University of Minnesota (USA), visiting as a researcher at UiO this academic year ('25-'26) through the Fulbright-Norway Foundation and the American Scandinavian Foundation Fellowships. I am interested in freshwater microbial communities and greenhouse gasses in Minnesota and Norwegian lakes. Specifically, meromictic lakes in Norway that are early Earth analogs. By using these systems to look into Earth's past, we can learn more about what to expect in Earth's future with rising greenhouse gases impacting our climate.
